I remember back in the '90s having respect for Republican Sam Kitzenberg in Montana, while at the same time feeling sorry for the way the GOP treated him. This was back in the days when GOP elections goals were for a 2/3 majority, not scraping for control, so they didn't mind treating anyone who could think big and for himself with disdain. Well, it seems to have come back to haunt the GOP, with Kitzenberg now joining the Democratic Party and allowing the second straight Montana Miracle. Welcome Sam.
