Tester needs your vote

Email from Jon Tester:

With the Primary Election less than 48 hours away, I write today asking for your vote this Tuesday, June 6.

I have the profile, energy and ethics to defeat Conrad Burns in November and the momentum to move our government in Washington, D.C., in a new direction for years to come.

That's not just political talk, it's reality. I have a proven record of fighting and winning for middle-class Montanans and working families in the State Senate.

Here are some of the things we accomplished:

* I sponsored and passed the Montana Rx Program, helping seniors pay for prescription drugs, and we fully funded the Children's Health Insurance Program for the first time in history.

* I worked with Governor Schweitzer to pass legislation bringing new renewable energy projects to Montana to cut our dependence on foreign oil.

* We greatly increased funding for quality education for our kids and grandkids -- and funded Indian Education for All for the first time in Montana history.

* We did all this, and more, without raising taxes-in fact, we eliminated taxes for 13,000 Montana small businesses.

I am the only candidate with this record, and the only candidate who can go toe-to-toe with Senator Burns on ethics in the General Election.

Democrats put Montana back on the right track. Now it's time to bring the same kind of change to the U.S. Senate.

I hope I can count on your vote on Tuesday, June 6, in the Democratic primary. We have strong leaders all the way down the ballot. I would be honored to lead the charge at the top of the ticket this fall.

Thank you,

Jon Tester

P.S. New supporters are joining the campaign every day. We're proud to have the support of many Montanans, including Tony Schoonen of the Montana Public Lands/Water Access Association.

Check out the Montana Standard for the story.

Peaking nicely, spread the word.
