Back in December of 2004, I received one of the best birthday presents ever (Jerome Armstrong promoted it to the front page of MyDD). It may not be my birthday, but it is the last day of the reporting period and Montana voters could use the present you can give.
In 2004, Montana Democrats swept control of state government by electing Governor Brian Schweitzer, winning the state senate to promote Sen. Jon Tester to Senate President and tying in the state house. In 2006, Montana Democrats are poised for another sweep of federal races with Jon Tester expected to beat Senator Conrad Burns and Monica Lindeen ready to beat Congressman Dennis Rehberg.
