SF snubs Bill of Rights?

Chalk up Supervisor Chris Daly as a Democrat who wants to do in our Party by telling the voters Democrats want to screw the Bill of Rights.

This wins the dumbest idea of the week award. In these times of wanna-be totalitarian control by Bush, it is imperative for Democrats to stand up for individual rights. All rights. For all individuals.

Supervisors Michela Alioto-Pier, Tom Ammiano, Bevan Dufty and Matt Gonzalez should all be ashamed to support this. Alioto-Pier has already shown her worthlessness in standing up for rights and Gonzo and Ammiano will do anything to pull the ol' San Francisco outleft. But Dufty is smarter than this. Out of one side of his mouth he says he is in favor of equal rights for all Americans and out of the other side he works against the Bill of Rights. How the fuck does that make sense? Will anyone listen to Dufty's push for gay rights when he is opposed to the Bill of Rights???

All rights, for all individuals, all of the time. How difficult is that to understand?
